After having three children, we have surrendered ourselves to the chaos that is raising children. Well meaning people, at times, give unintentional looks of 'oh, so this is how you live' or those close to us make comments regarding our chaos and how we could or should do something about it. I think we all have to accept that in keeping our kids safe, fed, nurtured, inspired, and our own well-being up to par, there are other things in daily life that will have to take a second or third seat. It's OK. We are not meant to be perfect, we are meant to give our best. And that best does not by any means have to match the expectations of others.
Case in Point:
Welcome To Pajama Nation
Sometimes yes, I even keep the baby in them all day, especially in this cold weather because if I put socks on her (more on that next) she just rips them off, and then I look like an even worse mom for carrying her out of the car with no socks. Or she pulls one off while we're grocery shopping and then we're running all over again, trying to hunt down the rogue sock. Zip up pajamas for everyone would really solve a lot of issues - add some sneakers on the end and we may have the next Snuggie.
